Proxmox Backup Server

Hey! Running Proxmox in a closet at home or in a rack somewhere, and feeling like you really should set up proper offsite backups?

We're currently toying with the idea of putting up a Proxmox Backup Server. Before we build too much, we just want to check — is this even something you would use?

The idea is pretty simple: you set up a VPN tunnel to us and send your data over. Everything is encrypted, deduplicated and runs incrementally on your machine already, so we never see any of the contents.

• Pay only for what you need: we work in 100 GB blocks, aiming for around 12 SEK per block
• Traffic included: Fair-Use network both ways (up and down) — no hidden fees when moving your data
• Stays in Sweden: as always, your data never leaves the country

HDD Colocation

Got a drive lying around and looking for a cheap place to host your data? We're toying with a pretty sweet setup. You simply rent a 3.5-inch drive bay in our rack, and we throw in a small VPS on top.

• Your environment: for every drive bay you rent, you get your own VPS with 1 vCore, 1 GB RAM and 10 GB of fast SSD (perfect for the operating system itself). Your storage drive is then attached directly to the VPS (passthrough), so you can start hosting right away
• Ship your own or buy from us: you mail your own drive here and remain responsible for it. If it dies, it's on you to notice and send a new one. Don't feel like shipping? We currently sell 6 TB drives you can buy from us directly
• What about uptime? Since we want to keep the price tag down, this lives outside our regular cluster environment. It's simply a more basic build
• Scale freely: rent one bay or several — it's dead simple to add more space when you need it
