answers

Everything you need to know about hosting, operations, and our services — all in one place.

01 / VPS & DEDICATED SERVERS

VPS & dedicated servers

Where are your servers located?
Locally in Varberg, Sweden. Your data stays within the country and is covered by Swedish law and GDPR.
Do I get full root access?
Yes. On both VPS and dedicated servers you get full root access and total control.
What network speed and traffic is included?
1 Gb/s is included in every plan, with a generous Fair-Use policy.
What is your response time if a component fails?
We monitor our infrastructure continuously. On dedicated machines you report the fault as a customer, and we replace the faulty hardware as soon as possible.
Are your VPS servers managed or unmanaged?
Unmanaged by default — you handle the OS and software. Managed can be added as an option; price on quote.
What happens to my VPS if a server crashes?
The VPS servers run in an HA cluster (Proxmox with Ceph storage). If the physical machine suffers a hardware failure, your VPS is automatically moved to another node, which minimizes downtime.
What is dedicated traffic?
Dedicated traffic is bandwidth reserved exclusively for your server or VPS, as opposed to the shared 1 Gb/s Fair-Use traffic included by default. You choose the speed you need as an add-on, from 10/10 Mb/s up to 10 Gb/s.
What is the difference between on-site and off-site backup?
By default a full snapshot of the entire server is taken four times a day. On-site backup is stored locally in the same data center as the server, giving fast recovery from common issues like deleted files or broken software. Off-site backup also stores a copy at a different physical location, so your data survives even if something happens to the data center itself. Both are available as add-ons for VPS and dedicated servers.
Do I need an extra IPv4 or IPv6 address?
Most people are fine with one address. An extra IPv4 address may be needed if you run multiple SSL certificates the old way, your own mail flow, or certain VPN solutions that require a unique public address. IPv6 addresses are effectively unlimited and therefore cost less — they work well as long as the other end also supports IPv6.
What is the difference between HDD and SSD as an add-on?
Both are extra storage that gets mounted as a separate extra disk in your VPS, on top of the disk already included in the plan. SSD is faster and best suited where performance matters, e.g. databases. HDD is cheaper per GB and works well for things that don't need high speed, e.g. large file archives or backup data.
02 / WEB HOSTING

Web hosting

Do you help with migration from my current host?
Yes, we help you with the entire migration of your website.
Are SSL and email addresses included?
SSL is always included free of charge. Email is not included in the base plans, but we will help you set up a mail solution for a small fee.
How do you handle backups on web hosting?
We take local (on-site) backups every 15 minutes. A copy is also sent off-site every four hours (at 00, 04, 08, 12, 16 and 20). For VPS, on-/off-site backup is available as an add-on.
Which control panel do you use?
CloudPanel. A personal login is not included in the base plans — we handle the configuration for you.
Do you offer 1-click installation of WordPress?
No automatic 1-click — but we are happy to help you set up the foundation manually.
Do you set up a website for me when I buy web hosting?
Yes — some web hosting plans include us setting up the foundation of a simple HTML website (like the example on the site). If you need more, we offer an extra setup package.
Is ongoing support and maintenance of the website included?
No. The setup is the starting point. We make sure the server and operations run smoothly, but we do not handle ongoing maintenance of the website itself.
03 / PHOTO CLOUD

Photo Cloud

Can I upload photos automatically from my phone?
Yes. The Photo Cloud app (iOS and Android) backs up your photos automatically in the background.
How are my photos protected against data loss?
Your photos sit on a distributed storage cluster (Ceph) that handles hardware failures, and we follow the 3-2-1 backup principle (three copies, two media, one off-site). This is standard for services we operate for you, such as Photo Cloud. For VPS and dedicated machines, backup is an add-on.
Can I invite family and friends to my Photo Cloud?
Each account is personal and cannot be shared. If you want family or friends to have their own logins, you need a shared instance — get in touch and we will set it up. You can however share specific albums with anyone via a share link, without them needing their own account.
04 / SUPPORT & PEACE OF MIND

Support & peace of mind

What are your support hours?
Weekdays 08:00–17:00. Customers with a support agreement get extended hours and an SLA.
Do you have a status page?
We are working on a public status page showing ongoing maintenance and incidents. In the meantime, we always notify customers well ahead of planned maintenance.
05 / SECURITY & SCALING

Security & scaling

Is DDoS protection included?
Yes, Cloudflare's DDoS protection is included by default on all web hosting.
How easy is it to upgrade?
Very easy — get in touch and we will handle an upgrade right away, usually within opening hours (08:00–17:00).
06 / BILLING & CONTRACTS

Billing & contracts

What payment methods do you offer?
Currently payment by invoice.
Do you have lock-in periods?
Dedicated machines: usually a 12-month term. VPS and web hosting: paid in advance, cancel whenever you like.
